HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
When you serve in Neighbor’s Threads, you will be volunteering as a cashier, helping open and operate the store, making sure the clothing is clean and wearable, and tidying up after members are done shopping.
We are fortunate to have amazing donors and volunteers who donate their food, clothes and household items to us to put in Karen’s Market & Neighbor’s Thread. By signing up for Prep, you will be volunteering by helping us sort, organize, and restock donations to put in the Neighbor’s Threads & Karen’s Market.
When you serve in Karen’s Market, you will be volunteering as a “cashier” by helping us open and operate the food pantry and help Neighbors check out as they use their earned points to “pay” for their groceries.
As a Neighbors Guide, you would be committing to one hour a weekday afternoon to teach at a class. This is a great opportunity for people who are willing to donate consistent time to help build a deeper fellowship with Porch Neighbors and community.
As a mentor in Neighbor to Neighbor, you would be offering a VIP Member one-on-one friendship, spiritual guidance, discipleship, and encouragement to connect at One Life Church during their time in the VIP Club, a support network for Neighbors who have moved out of homelessness into stable housing.
